I want to buy a dvd recorder that plays and records in BOTH formats (dvd+r, dvd+rw AND dvd-r, dvd-rw

I have seen one at digital point for £128.99 - a Liteon LVW5006
http://www.digital-point.co.uk/model.php

Is it any good?
Has anyone dealt with this compnay before?
Can anyone recommend another dvd recorder with both functions instead (for a decent price?)

    They make drives for computers.
They don't make 'em like they used to, pay with a Nationwide CC to get an extra year of warranty.
I would prefer to have a machine with DVD-RAM; http://www.panasonic.co.uk/dvd-recorders/dmres10/index.htm

Don't really know why I would want RAM - anymore details on the nationwide credit card offer - as this machine comes with a 2 year guarantee anyway :)

    Anyone else any other suggestions?

Nationwide add an extra year to the manufacturers guarantee, regardless of the duration.
DVD-RAM can be written to and watched at the same time as well as being viewed and edited on a 'puter.(You can be watching a programme that you recorded earlier, whilst recording a completely different programme) Discs last over 30 years. Can be re-written 100,000 times. If you need to record something fast, the Panasonic will automatically find the end of the last recording and start recording from there.
Plus you still have DVD-R/DVD-RW recording capability.

Though, if DVD+R recording capability is what you need, the Liteon together with the free three year guarantee looks good.
