Allsports have gone into administration apparantly.

Everything is half price with a further 50% off the lowest marked price except trainers which are only half price.

  • They went into administration on the 31st October '05, since then jd sports took over and they have been trading under jd sports however they continued to use all:sports brand. Jd sports has undertook the companies debt, which is around 18m

All:sports used to be one of the leading retailers of sports clothing/equipment, as a result of major price wars on the high street, all:sports really suffered with huge losses.

Now they have realised the stock differences between shops they are trying to get rid of stock which is not currently available at jd sports, eventually all all:sports retailers will make the change to jd sports

It's been so bad on the high street, jd sports had decided that those all:sports shops doing exceptionally bad ought to be shut down, with closing sale, therefore many shops have been shut down and gone into administration

The high street shops had really been struggling which had an effect on all:sports shop online which has also been shut down, and they recommending there customers to use jd sports online shopping

In the meantime it means knock down prices for people like you and me. ;)

I got some new balance 991 trainers at the Leeds store (St Johns Centre) reduced from £85 to £35, store due to close Jan 2006
  • Absolutely ridiculous!

I went to the huddersfield closing down sale, they barely had anything worth buying!

A massive sign was up saying 'last day for clearance sale of further reductions of 50% or more'

I went into the shop & item prices were certainly not reduced more than 20%

I suppose all the great bargains were taken
