  • Personally, I don't see how it's amusing to make fun out of someone who obviously has serious issues, both psychological and financial. We have no way of knowing what is going on for this person in their life.

As to the OP, you have the right and responsibility to say no to anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, whether that be spending money or eating chocolate. You do have to take care of yourself and your own needs, but I would also have some compassion for this person in a way that doesn't compromise what you want and need.

Thats the problem she is not rolling in it, she doesnt currently have a job as she was on a contract which ended, thats why at some point she wont be able to afford all of it. She is living on JSA and credit cards.

lol Horace...she says that public transport is too hot for her.

You are right...I can back away slowly..

She won't get far on JSA as its only £60.50 a week.

Public transport can be hot but it also has windows - I can understand the tube being too hot but buses are better.

I think she is making excuses.

Good luck when making the break.

  • hi angeldiva,

ya i agree, ditch her.. you don't have much in common, the friendship would prob not really develop anyway..

i think anyone should do what they want with their own money but putting someone else under pressure... hello!!!

i also find it a bit fascinating, in a sick kind of way ( am i the only one!?)
at the end of the day you have to look after youself so don't ;et her try to suck you into her lifestyle as her partner in crime..

How does someone eat two desserts in front of someone they hardly know!!?i'm far from perfect but i generally make a pig of myself at home - eating creme eggs with my fingers etc!
