Hmm came just after i'd spoke to you this morning......says I have to ring on the day of admission to see if theres a bed for me! so its not all cut & dry yet I suppose..... i'm c***** myself now & to be honest would have much preferred a !!!! up to this!!
Although I knew it might be coming I didnt expect so fast.....least now in the new place everything is on one level so i'm not worrying as bad..least I can stay at home after the op & manage myself

(least its got me out of decorating now!)

It always amazes me the lengths people will go to,to get out of something:rotfl: by that i mean the decorating.

I remember the day i went in for my op. It said ring at 9.30 so i rang,they said ring back at 9.45 and this went on every 15 mins till 11.30 they said you might as come in and wait. Got there and waited and waited and waited. At 1pm saw the dr/gas man ect(if we di not see them then we would have to go home as their afternoon list was about to start) still without a bed. 2PM got a bed,2.25 went down the theatre.

Mind i felt sorry for the dr. They thought my op would take 45mins at the max. I got out of theatre at 6.45pm, that was 4 hrs 20 min. Imagine what time they went on till that night or how many had to have their op's cancelled:o .Oooops.D

Hmm thanks...I think!
not too bothered about the op itself....more worried about getting better afterwards having a complete knee done along with some pretty complex surgery on my foot.....once i'm all better its back in for the other knee/foot

Sorry anne i totally forgot to say thank you for the offer of a lift. There were a couple from brum way who were going to come but not sure if they still want to.

Thing is when people are first going through bc(like yourself) they don't feel they know us well enough to come to the meet,almost like imposing. Then there are those who have been here a while who can not wait(like me:o ),then there are those who when a meet was first mentioned wanted to come but have now moved on:D . So i am having a little diffaculty in keep track of it all. There are about 20 of us so far but all that could change by nxt wkend.:p To my way of thinking the more the merrier:beer: . Think it will be my first truely relaxing nght out since my bc last nov;) ,not having to watch what i say,looking to see if i know anybody. God this time nxt week i will be bag of nerves:eek: .D

S`ok we still have the lift on offer but I did mean to say as were staying overnight (my treat to myself on sucessfully completing BR journey) it would be suited to someone else staying or whatever but the offers still there.

Im from near Junc 11 M6 so anyone around the area or further down towards Worcester just ask I dont bite and am nice lol
Really looking forward to this and OH is too a night with me in a hotel lol shame I snore haha ..
