Need Some Finger Parquet Flooring For Repair-help/ideas

Hi we are having our parquet flooring sanded, repaired and varnished in october and we desparately need some to fill in some gaps and a small infill
where a doorway has been widened.
It is called finger parquet and is laid in blocks of 5 finger strips of wood

The guy doing it said ours was difficult to get hold of. I looked on ebay and found some! but the guy had an offer for the whole lot so couldn't sell me a bag full.

Asked a local salvage and he said they hardly ever get that size even though people ask often for it.

Tried googling but not much luck, you can get new but the sizing has changed
Any help or suggestions welcome
thanks

I had a similar problem, but discovered that an old fireplace hearth, that I was going to replace, had been laid on top of the parquet - so I salvaged that.

One solution may be to take a couple of "fingers" to a good chippy and get him to cut out the required number from a plank of the same type of timber.
