Hi there
Sorry to hear your loss. I am in the same position as homeworkgirl, I lost my partner last year after 30 years being together. Fortunately my partner,s daughter helped me with the details. But I could not claim on Bereavement Allowance,Widows Benefit or Social fund. The funeral was paid out of my partners small savings, even though we did have a joint mortgage. But I would advise to get a few copies of death certificate in case you may need them.
