Cashback Or Clubcard Points?

Hi. Just after some advice really. I currently have a Morgan Stanley Credit Card which is a cashback card, this is my main credit card. However I was also looking at the Tesco Credit Card which gives Clubcard Points. Which card is best to have? Clubcard Points or Cashback??

Stick with my Morgan Stanley Card or switch to Tesco Credit Card? I pay off my balance in full every month.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED!!

Just for info had a letter from Morgan Stanley - Spend £600 on your card during November and we'll credit your account with an extra £10 by 31 Dec 2005.

Depends whether you are interested in any of Tesco's Clubcard Deals in which case your clubcard points are worth 4x 'ordinary' points. I only use Tesco card in Tesco's and Morgan Stanley or Egg elsewhere, but that's because the Deals aren't of any interest to me, so prefer real dosh.

I personally love the Tesco one because I can always find loads of things in the clubcard deals catalogue that I can spend my points on. I also used to have a cashback card, but found the money always used to just get merged into the household money whereas all my Tescos points get spent on treats.

Why don't you get hold of the Tesco clubcard catalogue and see whether there are things you really want in there?
  • The other main advantage of the Tesco card is you get the points every 3 months whereas most (all?) cashback cards only pay up once a year.
  • Is this Morgan Stanley offer for all card holders as I haven't heard about it yet?

I'm a Morgan Stanley card user and I haven't received this offer. Perhaps they only sent the letter to those people who spend less than 600; my monthly expenditure tends to be more than 600, so there would be no gain for them to send me this letter.
    Before doing something... do nothing
  • Well my spending is under £600, so I would be a "target" I would think? No mention of it on the website either, although the double cashback is now until 1st March 2006, it was previously 1st jan
