Strange problem this, I'm trying to install Windows XP home over the top of an Ubuntu system, as it doesn't do the things I need, but while trying to set up the RAID, Windows fails to recognise the floppy in the floppy drive, despite the fact that the drive shows up and works perfectly under Ubuntu. Mobo is the Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3.
Any ideas?

Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

It may actually be recognising the floppy perfectly well but the files it is looking for may not be in the right locations. They need to be in specific folders on the floppy. Pop off to the motherboard mftrs support site and see if there's any you can get from there.0
