  • We're going to South France, we booked a cheap flight through Ryanair (flight was actually nothing, we just had to pay for taxes etc) then we will hire a car and travel along the coast.

We fly to Toulon then will drive up towards Nice, OH wants to go to Monaco and drive the Grand Prix circuit :p . We thought this would be nice as South France looks so nice and luxurious but we know it can be expensive so by hiring a car we can stay in the hotels and B&B's on the outskirts of the main towns to avoid over prices - also by booking this we can stay in one lace for say 2 nights then if we get bored can move on or if we like somewhere stay an extra night so we're not tied to one place.

We were thinking about the usual exotic maldives or similar but then we thought why spend thousands to be able to sit on a beach, yes you want to relax and have good holiday but you don't want to be bored, some people love lazing on the beach but in places like that this is all you can do as there isn't much scope for anything else whereas if you go somewhere more popular/normal you can choose to sit on beach all day or do something more exciting if you wish.

At the end of the day, it's your honeymoon and as long as you are together and have a lovely time it doesn't matter if your on a secluded island or skegness (well not quite skeggy but you get my drift) you are together which is the main thing and are enjoying your first few weeks as a married couple x
