We were looking at Greece but then had some problems with wedding contributions etc which severely impacted our budget... So now we're having a week in York.
Yes we could go any time but for us this is an opportunity to spend some alone time, in the end it doesn't matter where it is... We're going to save Greece for a family holiday next year because I'm sure I would love it more if DD could join us rather than worrying about her being in another country...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I won a honeymoon worth 4.5k in a wedding magazine, very few people enter the competions, so start there.
If I where on a budget, Paris is great and you can great eurostar deals, or Cyprus is goos too.0 -
We're going round Scandinavia on the train, not especially budget-friendly but we'll do what we can to keep costs down. We were lucky to get some money from family to help out but if we hadn't I think a budget trip to Paris as Lottebear mentions would have been good. We also talked about going round the posh hotels on Skye as well.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

How about Jersey or Guernsey - like going abroad but not if you know what I mean?0

We're going to South Africa so we're very lucky, however, if money were tight I wouldn't care where I went as I'd be with my new husband and that's all that matters.
You don't have to go far to find romantic remote beaches and cosy candlelit restaurants. We stayed in a cottage in Pembrokeshire last year and had a wonderful time. You can make anything special if you put your mind to it!
Let us know what you decide!

We are off to Venice. looked in a few other places but with the flying tax long haul was shockingly priced. I agree with Speckled Egg, just want to go somewhere where i can spend time with my OH and have some candlelight dinners and some us time. Let me know how you get on.0

I earned 1500 airmiles just by signing up for the Airmiles Lloyds credit card, got another 50 by signing in online and have earned more by spending on the cards and paying it off instead of using just the current account. That would go some way to helping you out with holiday plans if you joined?!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
