Last year I booked a very expensive holidays to Lapland for this December, not very money saving but for various reasons it was the first time I went on holiday with all four of my children so was a special holiday. Once I booked thinking I would get the best price for booking early I was horrified to find on a consolidators site to find the holiday cheaper. I then sent a letter to the managing director of Cosmos bemoaning this fact. I was very surprised when about 2 days later my son phoned me at work to say this bloke rang from Cosmos holidays. Yes it was the managing director himself who promptly repriced my holiday saving me over £400. Later in the year my daughter who is coming on the same holiday but staying in the hotel rather than the log cabin (privacy and not wanting to be annoyed by her baby brother and sister!!!!!) received a letter discounting her holiday because the price had come down. I had since discovered since communicating witht he consolidators that their price was wrong. For once and once only credit where credit is due, not for them discounting the price (when they immediately could do) but the fact that the Managing Director actually phoned. It was quite funny speaking to him because this consolidators website plays Christmas music. When I was speaking to him on the phone I could hear suddenly in the background Christmas music "Let it snow". I said "oh I see you have found the site then".
