Thanks all for the replies:D ..........but things have taken a turn! after another look i see the
    Samsung LE37A558P3FXXU 37in 1080P LCD.

536/6196 - comes with a 3 year warrenty and at £599 seems alright for a known make, comments please!

You could save £70 by buying it from Dabs - I gave the link in my earlier post. I think the version Dabs sell is the LE37A559, but the only difference is cosmetic.
  • Hi there
Having been looking for a 1080p full HD myself, there is a Sence 42inch on e-buyer for under £550 with free delivery they say it looks like a Samsung and appears to have good reviews. But I have not decided yet.
  • i bought one (not quite so good but same make) for kids room-quality not so good as known brands but if not too fussy a good buy!

They are crap to be blunt. I had an Accoustic Solutions personal DVD player that lasted 2 weeks. Avoid at all cost.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Just brought it to replace my old 32" LCD TV.

It bigger and a lot better picture quality wise than my old polaroid LCD TV.
Looks nice too. (So far so good!)
  • I brought one back in May, took it back two weeks ago because it packed up exchanged for a different brand, never had a tv breakdown so quickly but that is not saying it was down to the make, it cud of happened regardless of make. I know people that have had no probs with the make whatsoever.
  • I've had this TV now for a week and i'm well impressed, I paid £350. from Argos!! Some fella on here states that its over 500 quid.Well its not that price anywhere, the max its selling for is 470-480, i was lucky and got an even better bargain. The same bloke also states that the tecknica 37-700 HD from tescos is better, well it may have a cheaper standard price of 400 but it doesn't have as many extras like a digital sound processor and an in built sound system with sub woofer, it sounds amazing especially digital feeds such as sky or freeview, HD sound wld be even better.
The picture is very good for the money, I compared it to my dads Panasonic £800+ 42" plasma and there's no difference.
Also remember that these TV's are HD ready and do not deliver this definition unless you have a HD device like Blue ray or HD subscriptions such as sky n free sat etc so dont assume that you can just plug it in and have a perfect picture without the HD connections. A few reviews on here state that for a 1080p HD its not very good but unless u have a HD feed then your TV ......... isn't ready.def. recommend!;)
