I'd wait and see if Tesco get their 37" 1080P TV in again - it's £400 and won't be any worse than the Acoustic Solutions one; chances are it'll be better. Here's a link: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.202-5644.aspx
I've read a fair few negative reviews about Acoustic Solutions TVs - and that's from people who were in the market for a cheap TV. At £500 the Acoustic Solutions TV is far from a steal - you could pick up a Samsung for £530 here: http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=52W40 -

I've seen one of these as a display model in my local argos and they looked fab - not that i know much about the technical side but i know when a picture looks good or not!0 -
ive had 3 wharfedales and other good tv's but they have all been rubbish. sony is the only make ive had success with but with a baby now money is not there. im swapping my wharfedale (my 3rd from argos in 8 months) for the a/s one, ive heard they have quite good components and quite frankly, so long as it works (they new one we had delivered yesterday is getting no power to it), scart sockets work and doesnt lean forward like the tower of pisa, i am very happy.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

With all electronics the quality will be normally determined by the price you pay. It really is a case of get what you pay for.
However, it depends on what kind of use you're going to get out of your tv i.e HD programmes,blu-ray DVD, gaming etc. The average tv user will be just fine with a cheaper tv and you'd only notice the real difference if you had two tv's side by side.
Personally I'd pay a little more to get a much higher quality tv.0 -
