Motorbike Trip to Germany - Travel Insurance

Hey folks - just a quickie...

Does anyone know if I need any particular cover for a road trip to Germany? We are traveling by Ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam and driving from there to Cologne.

Any tips / ideas?

    You need two things, bike insurance that covers you for europe (make sure it you get the same cover as UK) and travel insurance to cover luggage, injuries etc.

    I used to motorbike all over Europe and just used my normal insurance with Carole Nash - I had already made sure that I was covered for trips abroad.

    I rode all the way to Mandello in Italy and back without any problems at all.

    Cool thanks. I have already told my bike insurance and got European breakdown cover. So just bog standard travel insurance will do then? Will I have to tell them I am going to 2 different countries?

    Bike/car insurance is normally for the EU so the number of countries doesn't matter, ditto holiday insurance. Not sure about breakdown insurance.
