Cifas Entry on my credit report

I've just run an Equifax report and there's a cifas on the end.

Client Name - Equifax Cifas
Date Recorded - 23/02/2008
Category - 00 (99)
Name - Mr X
Address - House Number and Road
Case No - 311***
Date of Birth - 11/08/1955
Product - Blank

I'm not Mr X, he is a real person who lived in the flat upstairs. It was a house converted into four flats. I left this address a year ago.

The Equifax blurb says this won't affect me ie different name at same address.Just wanted to double-check with you guys that this is correct ? Do you reckon it will have any affect on my applications e.g. slow them down, need for manual check etc ??

Don't worry, the CIFAS data is on an address not on your name, it will get all of your credit applications refered for manual underwriting but that is a good thing, so just ignor it, I have several on my credit files, other people and me mainly CIFAS protective registration as i have been a victim of ID theft.
Oh by the way, when did you last check Equifax because I can't get my report and has been like this since Thursday?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

    further update!!

after being so pleased at eventually being able to get the two incorrect default entrys off my files, (false/illegal entries added 7 years afte BR) i have today checked my files and one has been removed the other updated with new default date of 11/05!! funny i was declared BR in 01!!

needless to say i have emailed the guy at eversheds again today (thankfully it has all been done by email so have all the correspondence ect and is quicker)
told him he had failed to carry out the action he had promised and simply updated one with yet again wrong. false and in breach bla bla given him 14 days to put it right and threatened informing data commissioner!!
