Building a walled section in the garden?

Options
Want raise the beds of my garden on one side, so just basically a 3 or 4 brick high wall, does a mini foundation need to be done? or is it a case of laying bricks?

    Sorry :D
    But some foundation is required

Small trench , bit of hard core , level concrete.
Will make the laying of bricks so much easier with the level base

I thought all the posters were world experts :rotfl:

Never ask me about prices , always wrong.
But I built a large raised bed last year, not hard , its a DIY job.

As I said it was more in the way of a large raised bed .
( four joined walls !:D) but it was three courses high.

I had a pile of hard core, also had a stack of bricks at the bottom of garden.
All I bought was the sand and cement .
The result might not have pleased a bricklayer, but I like the rustic look
    in the garden.

The size of my raised bed , was goverened by the number of bricks avaiable.

You could probably get second hand bricks on your local freecycle site. Apart from costing nothing but your petrol, they would also look better. Then the only expense would be sand and cement.

Thanks for that, yeah, I'm looking to have sand coloured bricks to tie in with the area

have you looked at alternative methods?
railway sleepers look good and are easier to lay than bricks.
    no foundation required either.
    Get some gorm.
