how to fix glass strip of mosiac tiles to wall

Hi

Im trying to fix a border strip of glass mosiac tiles to my bathroom wall, but when i apply the press the mosiac tiles ot the wall all the adhesive squirts through the gaps and the small tiles move. looks very messy and takes ages to get right.

does anyone know of a good technique to stick glass mosiac tiles on to the wall ?

also becuase i tried before and stuffed it up i soaked the strip in water and now all the tiles have fallen off the backing strip. I suppose i copuld superglue them back. But i still need to work out how to remove the adhesive from the tiles ?

when ive done it instead of using a serated edge tile adhesive spreader, i put a smooth bed of adhesive on the wall and then gently pressed them on (they were still on the backing mat though).

The only way I can think of doing it now is to do teh above and sperate them sides and tops/bottoms with spacers of card - it will be a messy job though!
