I currently use frontpage 2003 but have now looking to bring it up to date can any one tell me which ms product out of their replacements for frontpage is most similar to use - I have read reviews that they are similar to dreamweaver which is a product I simply could not get on with so do not want to wast money on something I neither like or need to be too complicated
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.

MS Expression came out a while back if you want to stay with MS, although Dreamweaver is the standard and is I know hard to get into, but I found the earlier versions ok. There was a free trial / freebie design booklet last year from a mag.0

Dreamweaver is powerful but counter-intuitive. Good for the Pros maybe but for pages that I want to update frequently (or create in a hurry) I also like Frontpage. Perhaps an MS Expression user could report back here - how similar is Expression to Frontpage?
You can actually author web pages in MS Word using View -> Web Layout and Save As -> Web Page (htm) - I used to do this at work for some company internal web pages. Not sure how 'Kosher' this would be with the Pros but it worked OK for me and displayed OK on Firefox too.0 -
You could try http://www.microsoft.com/express/vwd/ it can also edit HTML files much like Expression, or you can use http://www.kompozer.net/ which is open source.0
