Overdoing the overdraft

I have a HSBC student account and due to unfortunately not being able to get a job over the summer until now (I start Tuesday) my overdraft's gone over limit from it's agreed limit of £800 (the balance is currently -£932)
The bank rang me last Friday to advise me of the direct debits they bounced, and to ask me to pay them £190 to get it back to the right level (I assume this includes all of the ridiculous charges), and I asked them to give me a few weeks to do this of which they agreed and they've since sent me the standard "we have agreed your informal overdraft request" letter. My sister paid £60 into it yesterday via internet banking as she owes me some money anyway, though for one reason or another they tried to ring me again at 8 this morning while I was still asleep! (don't those people know it's a Saturday?!) I'm probably going to go to a branch today just to ask them what's going on with it, and hopefully I can get money into it from my parents and from the new job in the next couple of weeks, but is there anything I can do to make the situation a bit less worrying? I'm just a bit stumped!

Not sure why you re stumped? The money your sister paid in my not hve shown yet despite it being an internet banking account (mine has never been 'instant')all you can do is repay the money as and when you can-they have been quite lenient and given you time to do so. You need to make sure you hve no other DD's that could cause you more charges and deal with the one which bounced. They keep phoning as the left hand doesn't know what the right hnd has agreed in banking (nd mny other organistions.)If you are so broke it may be a good idea not to lend money in the future too!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0
