Automatic downloads at night

How do I go about setting my PC to perform unattended downloads at night?

This would be from a specific site so as to take advantage of free broadband usage.

need some download scheduler/manager software - try googling that
(unless Vista has added something, I'm on XP)

was common in the days of dial up, I thought broadband was always on
or do you mean if you download at night its outside your 'Cap' limit

I am on xp also.

It is to download a file at night while I'm tucked up in bed.

How would I tell the PC to download a file at a certain time.

There is a Task Scheduler in control panel which can automate functions

but I think you'll find something more specialised easier.

If you decide to use FDM and you also use Firefox, you can use this to integrate with the browser(will also give you some ideas about the other available Download Managers).
