Internet light randomly gos out on router

Options
hi there

my friend has d-link DKT-710 wireless kit , at random intervals , the Internet light will go out, ( all other lights remain on ), i then need to reboot the router for this light to come back on, before i can use the Internet again.

All filters and cables has been checked, all are ok, i am plugged into master socket, does this seem most likely to be a problem at the ISP side ? thank you for any advise

It's possible that the router is not synchronising properly - contact your ISP to check the line

    I had the same problem,
after a LOT of talking to the ISP we discovered the router was loosing the frequency (apparently it was cycling round trying to find a strong one but then forgetting where it started:confused:.)

The only answer in the end was a new router. In the short term it might be worth contacting your ISP and getting the correct frequency and get them to talk you through accessing the router via the web browser (this is the easy bit) and reset the frequency.
