hi - just popping in. Sister is staying this weekend, she's just chilling out in the bath after a run.
I've shown her the photos of all my lovely MSE friends (Bunny - she also thinks you look like Duffy!) and at one point said to me 'I know you are a money saving expert but........and then went on to tell me about a 'dressy' dress she'd see in Monsoon for £160 and waited all year for it to be in the sale. She has bought it after it finally being reduced to £40 and has said it will do for formal work do's, christmas parties, any weddings etc and she has paired it up with existing accessories - I said - that's fine - that's an investment!
She also asked about getting her food bill right down, so I said about using everything in the cupboards, then meal planning etc.
It was cool giving advice in real life!!!"Stay Wonky":D

Oh God, I am watching a program on BBC 2 about the british coastline in the North east, which is lovely apart from the muppet who is presenting the beaches at Filey who sounds like a 60 year old Ric from The Young Ones.........Ohh good he has gone and its the sexy scotsman again:cool:
*sigh* really wish I had something planned for tonight, girls night out postponed till next weekend:oBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Welcome back Bunny! :j :j :j :j :j Sometimes the best times can take place in the most unlikely places/settings, I'm glad you and OH had fun, can't wait for some pics! :T
I've not been very MSE today, went to the garden centre and spent £30  on some shrubs and bushy things (that's a technical gardening term you know) as we have weeds in place of anything at the moment and it'll keep OH busy. I am even thinking of employing a gardener  as a one-off I might add, as the garden is really big and between Elliot and trying to actually do stuff as a family the whole thing never gets done. It just needs a good tidy up. I am thinking of asking my brother if he wants to do it for £80 or so as he is, how shall I put this, 'between jobs'.
Anyway, rambling on there! Got veggie pasta on the hob, Elliot is having his bath before bed, and then The X Factor is back!!! :T Funny what passes for a great Saturday night when you're getting a bit older :think:0 -

Glad you're having a good one BB, but your sister said that I looked like RIchard Gere yes???:D
To be honest Lenny, you should take that as an insult..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
BB,
I love your sister.
DD,
I too cannot wait for XFactor! OH makes me laugh-he pretends to not like it and then watches it with me-my favorite part are the auditions...
Can you lovely people answer me a question?
Whilst we were on hols, every night at the childrens entertainment bit, they played this really silly song you do motions to-we could not for the life of us understand WHAT they were saying except for 'were passing by' and the bits that sounded rather like 'all the ladies of the (this is where is gets garbled!) blah blah blah' ?? Please help! It's doing our nut in!!!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Still not slept! So bad tempered!!!!!
Bunny, when we went to Cornwall in a caravan there was draughts coming in all the windows - they wouldn't close properly. OH went outside to bash one shut with the broom and put the window through! They came and mended the window and it was lovely and cosy after that, but stinky too. Maybe you were in the same caravan!
Thansk Welshone for the link- will try those recipes.
Louise - I am being a nag, have you made a start yet! I will nag and nag you know.
BB - give your sis a wave from me!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
