Not much of a "length" for me to be honest.

Newsagent is quite close and I visit a greengrocer, a supermarket and the post office in the same precinct anyway. Most days I have several newspapers, worth approximately £20 a week, and an occasional magazine. Well over £1200 worth a year and given I've not parted with actual money for a newspaper or magazine in well over 4 years that equates to £5K+.

I get all the newspapers with the free CDs & DVDs (you should see my audio & film collection) or those with more coupons. A fair proportion of those coupons for printed material (like those mentioned in my previous post) are "reserved" to give to my newsagent for buying more printed material. Any surplus to requirements and "non newsagent viable" coupons usually get used in Asda or Tesco saving a truly significant amount off my shopping.

The other vouchers like those in today's Express (and those over the last few weeks) are gratefully received and easily redeemable.

A Lloyds pharmacy is about a 2 minute walk from where I live and I pass it on the way to or from the newsagent. A Co-op is about a 2 minute detour on the same route. Focus DIY is about a mile away and if I visit it I use the opportunity to call in at Morrisons and Lidl and buy a few store branded products that are obviously obtainable nowhere else.

Just this year Focus have "FREEly" provided about £250 worth of plants. Fuchsias, roses, bedding, etc for all my tubs, planters and hanging baskets. Also tomato, pepper & chilli plants, some herbs and other "edible" offerrings.

Lloyds have GIVEN us all the sun tan lotion we've needed for the last 7 or 8 holidays and we've another 7 or 8 weeks worth for BOTH of us in stock. That's about fifty 200/250ml bottles in total normally costing £5 to £6 each. Additionally we (and our Great Dane) have been munching our way through about a 5-year supply of Glucosamine tablets, 2 down 3 to go, COURTESY of Lloyds. Dozens of boxes at £14.99 !

We both adore cooking so today's goodies of 8 totally free Mexican Fajita Spice mixes will definitely come in handy, save me going to Asda and BUYING something comparable.
Similarly Body Lotion is on our shopping list. Getting it FREE is a BONUS !

And the best bit - used £5.60 coupons to buy the papers and now I've got £8 of them as replacements.

And I didn't have to go to any "length" to get them at all. :)

Sh*t, you make me feel like an amateur... I think I'm being clever when I use my MOCs to buy food that's on offer :(... I'm going to go and laugh at myself in the corner (it's either that or I cry).

I guess that's why I only have two medals and you have four next to your name.
    R E S P E C T man.

I think you should run a course on how to put your coupons to the most effective use.

    I'd sign up!

Thing is Mr Helpful your posts have not been helpful, and I don't think you have the right to talk about self respect when you don't know someone or their circumstances. For many of us it's a bit of a hobby, coupons, tesco points, freebies. It may seem sad to you but live and let live unless you have something positive to add.

    Just my opinion

Well what I said was MY OPINION and did I say it was sad, I think you have JUST SAID that. I am not one to moan but I wasnt having a go ! Live and let live - go get a life.

Unbelievable - lengths some people go

    Should I reveal today's (Sunday's) lengths I wonder ?

If these were the MOC Olympics, my "lengths" in the pool were a gentle 50m backstoke, an easy 100m breaststroke but a tougher 800m freestyle.

All 3 events brought success, respectively winning a bronze, then a silver and finally that big most valuable GOLD !!

Just breaking out the CHAMPERS !!

I don't care what people say about me

I buy all my papers/magazines using newspaper coupons. i'll often give in say £2 worth of newsie vuchers to accumulate £20 worth of coupons. I "buy" mags which contain coupons to the same or greater value, thus gaining a free read
I pay for almost all of my groceries with coupons, my kids have lovely clothes, most of which have been free or near as, either from tesco (coupons) or back in the good old days, la redoute, where I "stock piled" clothes and there are still new ones coming out.

I have a wardrobe full of free toiletries, enough toothpaste to last until the next millenium (all courtesy of Mr ts lovely H&B coupons last yr
I have £100 worth of pinecone vouchers from surveys, we dine free at pizza hut several times a year thanks to pigsback, i havent paid for face creams or washes for years thanks to boots promos, I get all my photos developed free at snapfish and my dad collects them free from the shop near his caravan

We had 3 free holidays last year, 2 this year and won a further 3 free ones for later on whilst there
We've had 3 free days out at Alton Towers for 4, and 2 days at pleasure beach and a pontins hol using clubcard vouchers. We have a haven hol booked for later on also using clubcard vchs

I use quidco, add my cashback up, get very cheap insurance deals. (Paid £58 fully comp with PNC for my car this yr!!) I never buy anything on credit and pay everything by DD to save.

All in all, as we're quite frugal, this enables us to have a skiing holiday each yearand a summer foreign holiday.

My mum says she doesn't know how I have the nerve, but say, I love seeing my kids faces on holiday

Don't worry about what people think. You're not doing anything illegal or breaking any laws. Go for it!!!
