Please help.
Does anybody know the timing settings for the diesel pump for a 1998/9 Iveco Turbo Daily. We fitted a new cambelt.
Or can any one point me in the right direction to find out.
Many thanks in advance

Have you already removed the belt? its quite a simple layout on these so you could paint mark it before removal or look for timing marks or an offset hole in the pulley to insert a dowel.i'm not at work at the moment but if you get really stuck i'll look up the proper procedure tomorrow.trainee_millionaire wrote: »Please help.

Right then, before anything else i just want to point out that this engine is recognised as an interference engine which means valve to piston contact in the event of timing belt failure is most likely.knowing that the timing belt has snapped on your engine i would strongly advise a compression check of all cylinders.
If comp check is ok then follow this:-
1) find hole at bell housing end of engine and use a bolt or dowel of roughly the same size to push through.then turn engine until it locates into the hole in the flywheel.
2) turn camshaft until the mark on the pulley lines up with the mark on the engine at exactly 12 o'clock.
3) locate hole in fuel pump pulley, find a bolt/dowel of similar size and turn pulley to the 6 o'clock position..inset bolt/dowel to lock it.
4) fit belt from the right hand side of engine and tension it up on the left.
Hope this helpsSorry
