What is your viewing distance going to be and what's your budget?0
-
probably about 4-5 metres,
il go upto about £500 for one0 -
With a viewing distance that great then you're not going to see the benefit of a 1080p set. For £500, you're looking at Samsung, Sony or Panasonic.
I've got the Sony KDL 32S3000 that I use for TV and Xbox 360 and it's a fantastic set, you can get them for about £400 now.
Any set in this price range that would display 1080p isn't really worth looking at, so I'd concentrate on getting a good 720p set0 -

cheers, thanks for your help0 -
hello, it really depends if you want full 1080 or 720. With your ps3 and your blueray player it's best to go in for a 1080, there ate loads out there and good and bad one's like everything! Best thing to do is look around online on sites like:
Remember dixons prices are normally cheaper than currys, comet
Argos have a 1080p tv 37" £499.99 which Is in your budget but look at avforums.com and get honest reviews and views.
Remember you can tell if it's FULL HD by it being 1920 x 1080 if it's 1920 x 720 it might allow 1080i input which ain't full HD
Like I said there are loads to choose from best makes out are samsung, LG, panasonic
Rip off company SONY!!!
Remember john lewis give 5 yr warrenties most time, but don't buy extra warrenty if you have house insurance ad it should be covered
Thanks0 -
We're asking the same Q's!!
Seems good value £539 in Dixons - £599 John Lewis (5yr warranty)
Samsung PS42A456P
I've looked in avforums.co.uk they seem to like it, too!
& there's me thinking we'd buy Philips again!! But can't find one at this price range, that has a stand which swivels!!
