Washing Machine (DIY repair) forum?

Options
Can anyone recommend a good UK-based forum for discussing issues related to a faulty washing machine?

I don't think that MSE is really the right place to discuss the problem, so I won't go into detail. Suffice it to say that there's a semi-intermittent fault with our machine, which I am quite happy to dismantle and resolve (having had to previously - long story), but I need some expert help to diagnose, as I've tried all the obvious things...

I have found a couple of US-based sites that seem to have enough participants to be worthwhile, but Bosch machines appear to be rare over there....

    Thank you for this.

This link (washerhelp.co.uk) mainly now provides general step-by-step fault-finding advice, but it is quite comprehensive and HAS suggested a possible cause for my intermittent problem...time to dismantle the machine again!

Site does include a forum, but is currently closed to new posts/members.

Thanks, Andy. This site DOES have a forum after all (couldn't see it for looking last week!)

Just browsing that forum and found some likely suggestions - including that the pumps may only last five-seven years...! (Fortunately, a replacement looks to be less than £20 and it's a doddle to fit - well, it is if you know what you're doing!)

    Cheers

This site provides a little useful advice, but its main feature is a personal free fault assessment by email! (The chap who operates the site has 15years experience doing such repairs.)

Unfortunately, I think that you only have one email opportunity, so you need to be able to describe a fault quite precisely in order to get a precise diagnosis. However, one of his reasons for running the site is to help you determine whether a fix is worthwhile or not, not specifically so that you can fix it yourself.

There is another site I came across a while ago that offers diagnosis over the phone, but I'm damned if I can find the damn thing again :(
  • Have you tried, howstuffworks.com all sorts on there washing machines, fridges, hoovers, the lot.
