RIM Blackberry as a normal mobile

Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Anyone know if I get an old Blackberry will it work if I just pop a normal 02 PAYG SIM in it? I don't want any of the functions really, just the big screen. The phone was an 02 phone before too.

Yes, it should work fine.
We are migrating users from mobiles to Blackberry's at the minute- if the service provider do it the wrong way they take the Blackberry APN off & it is just a normal mobile.0 -
