Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

  • So, no extra points at all then ! He will have to just use the clubcard plus only ?

Another thing i find is that we can't check the tesco personal finance points that we are suppose to get, using the tesco credit card !

He uses it mostly for the petrol in tesco stores, lots of money spent, but when we got the voucher was only £ 3 !! We thought would be at least £ 20 .

It seems, that they gave only the tesco stores points !

Did this happen to anyone else?

    Thx

The Tesco credit card points are listed separately from the store points on the Clubcard statement.

Get a cashback card AND a clubcard account and use both and hit them tesco fiends for a double whammy!
    Best Regards,

  • lol at tesco fiends :rotfl:

btw, we got 2 statements, one from my club cards points, that hubby uses now, when shopping in tesco/tesco petrol and the 2nd statement for the tesco credit card that he uses to pay .

As i said, we thought that way, we will be getting double points, using the 2 cards together, but the 2nd statement came only showing 330 points:o

As the 2 accounts are separate, still can't understand where the credit card points gone !

Does the second account state how the 330 points were earned? If it was on the Tesco Clubcard credit card then that would equate to a £1320 spend over the last 3 months.

There seems much confusion with the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

It is a normal credit card
It doubles as a Clubcard in Tesco

So you will get your normal one point per £1 spent in Tesco
Plus one extra point per £4 spent both in Tesco and elsewhere

    So £40 spend Tesco get 40 + 10 = 50points = £2 in clubcard deals
£40 spend elsewhere get 10points = 40p in clubcard deals

You'll receive your normal quarterly clubcard statement with the extra points shown in the Tesco finance section.

Personally I use the normal clubcard plus a 1% cashback card like Egg Money.

So £40 spend get 40points = £1.60 in clubcard deals plus 40p cashback on Egg = same £2

So there is nothing magical about the card no double points within store

No but there are double points in store with the Clubcard Plus card (which is not a credit card).
  • If I make a purchase on my Tesco Clubcard creditcard and earn the points then need to get a refund do Tesco deduct the clubcard points back ??????????

This occured to me today when I returned some bulbs (only £2) but when she asked for my card I inadvertently gave my bank debit card instead. She didn't check and carried on the transaction.

This system could be open to abuse if you regularly purchase expensive items, gain the points then get a refund but keep the points - if you see what I mean?

The Tesco points are split in two parts, those you would get with a normal Clubcard (you get to keep these on a refund) and those earned through paying with the credit card.

Like any other cashback credit card, if you get a refund on the card you will lose the points earned through the original card - if you get a refund through another card or by cash then you would keep the points.
