Tesco have quite a lot of homeware/cookware things reduced. I got a nice pyrex baking dish with a lid for £2.25.

  • real useful every day groceries then???, this is why the big supermarkets get me soooooo mad, they never really knock much off the essentials do they?

I agree. According to my daughter they have these prices (on things you don't generally use/need) so that they can say "we've cut prices on X amount of things" - even though they aren't the everyday essentials that we have to buy. :o

  • You can quite often pick up bread cheaply at Tesco, I always look for the reduced Bread and quite often find Warburtons Organic Wholemeal, Hovis and Kingsmill for 50p a loaf, great if you have a freezer!

Just back from our store in Gt Yarmouth, found the 50p / 500g bag new potatos...

But then spotted bags of Piccollo 1kg bag, Suffolk (so may be regional)produce working out at 78p / kg. They looked better than the 50p bag ones too.

Popped to Mr T at lunchtime today and they had footless tights reduced to 13p per pair, had brown and black in small, medium and large, also vest type tops in assorted colours and a variety of sizes for 50p each. Don't know if this is nationwide or not but I went to Bidston Moss store.
