Thanks ladies, prob an obv answer that having been around here a while I ought to have known but always good to be reassured beforehand.
I'm making a list so I can smell nice
So I'm after a little helpfil advice
Rhyming over...what's perfume is on offer & smells lush![/quote]
Any of the stella mcartney fragrances but I think they will only be reducing the summer 2008 version today 100ml.If you like rose smelling perfumes this will be gorgeous and even if you wear it everyday it will last and last.I still have a quarter of stella 2007 left which I wear everyday.
Daisy-Gorgeous bottle , girly fragrance. It's very light and fresh and not too over the top so perfect for everyday wear.It smells a bit fruity floral as it has a hint of strawberry in the top notes but I can smell jasmine too.
Miss dior cherie-If you like soap& glorys calm one calm all or the righteous butter then you will love this. It's very sweet so you will either love it or hate it but the bottle is lovely very posh vintage looking and the smell last ages .Layer it with soap&glory for a stronger fragrance.Base notes are musk&patchouli and top & middle notes of popcorn and wild strawberry. This costs about £63 for 100ml so bargain at the moment for a edp
Can you tell I love perfume:D
I better get dressed -my day off today so can go bootsing:jLove can tame the wildest0 -
Boots Expert brand has a clarifying shampoo (a trial size was in the Expert tins we got free with purchases earlier this year). I quite liked it and would pay for the full-size bottle.
Oooh ,I've got some of them somewhere:T :T :T :T
Thanks!:T
I'm off soon to try driving to Boots ,I fancy treating myself to some perfume so will probably come back smelling like a tarts handbag!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Just a reminder for anyone buying (rather than using points) the spend £5 save a £1 voucher works with perfume and everything else in the shop (but the vouchers finish today).
Vouchers can be found in my store on the pharmacy counter on the back of the health leaflet.
It can be used on everything, just don't forget if you want another till split you will need to spend £6 the voucher will then take a £1 off leaving you with £5 and till split. I haven't seen anyone mentioning this voucher being used and I can't understand it
Off to buy son's school trousers this afternoon so I'll see if they 'allow' me a Boots shop :rolleyes:Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
I know a while ago (several threads back!) we had a discussion about silicone in shampoos
My hair has been very lank and I am sure thats whats wrong, can anyone remember or recommend a product to get rid of the residue?
I found a Neutrogena one in the bathrrom cabinet and it seemed to do the trick but its almost finished (got shoved to the back of the cupboard with all the boots goodies)
Any other ideas?
I use this from time to time:
Description from Boots website: "No matter how thoroughly you shampoo, your styling products can hang around, leaving a residue on your hair that can really weigh it down. Get rid of the unwanted build-up with this revitalising, deep-cleansing shampoo".
I have never actually bought a bottle though, I'm still working my way through the 5 bottles from the 5 Expert GWP tins earlier this year :rotfl: I only use it once a week usually (I don't use conditioner on that day but I do apply just a little JF serum on the ends) and I find it works well. Unfortunately I don't get on with quite a few of the "big name" hair ranges - I think the worst I encountered was the Mark Hill range. I am sure there is nothing wrong with any of the ranges, it's just that most don't seem to suit my hair.
I also find that using the same shampoo day in day out can have a negative effect on my hair, so I tend to rotate the ones I do use. Of course the best thing I think you can do for your hair to keep it in good condition is to have it cut on a regular basis

The only thing i will say is that you'll be surpised how much relatives/friends will get and your Little one won't remember this first birthday so that should take the pressure off a bit. That sounds mean but we brought one gift for our lo for her birthday and a few small bits to make up a stocking for her 1st bday/xmas. She
recieved so much from everyone else and had such a lovely time seeing all the family that she forgot all about the pressies! Enjoy this year-at least you won't be in labour/bruised!glass of wine methinks!
Hi smithyjules, thankyou for your reply, I have been on here a few times asking if anyone knows about any forthcoming boots sales, and nobody acknowledges that they have at least read my posts, so I thank you, and the other lady who replied back, saying about teletubbies being in sale. I know boosters are excited about their deals, and my little posts gets lost amongst them, and with the girls on here not knowing me, as its been a while since I regularly posted(before I was pregnant with my daughter, I was so sick during pregnancy and havent had the time since!!), I suppose thats why I could get ignored!!:(
Yes, I agree, it is her first birthday, and proper christmas where she is aware somats going on, but she wont remember, so I dont intend on going mad, I have nearly £60 in boots points which I intend on spending on her, and I have a few other bits I have bought in sales, so my priority is to get her an upsy daisy who she adores, I feel better knowing I have made good headway for my boys at least, I managed to get them some stuff off bargain crazy in sale and using 17% code off last night and amazon using survey gift vouchers I had earned to pay for the goodies.:T
Thankyou for your support, and a very happy birthday to your little one on xmas eve X Oh, and yes, I shall be enjoying a glass or 3 of wine, cheers!:beer:if you cant have what you want, be grateful for what you have :T

Is it a little blue box? She scanned 2 and put them aside, I think it possibly was. There was Usher, some Hugo, 212, and some others, she was going through them, I was going to pay points for my perfume, then she told me about the lotion, I was chuffed! Going back at lunch quickly to check out what else is there!
This is Kings Road, store nearest Sloane Square station if anyone's curious. Reduced perfumes on a stand with reduced SELs by no7 counter.~*Cerenia*~

That sounds like what I probably smell like when I hit Sainsburys after my usual Friday night Bootsing...
Well what's the point of spraying testers onto those stupid little bits of card - I want to know what the perfume smells like on ME - different perfumes smell differently on different people, so what smells great on one person might not suit someone else quite as well.DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
