The Sanctuary Charcoal Mask £1.79 (ATS - 3 for 37p)
got 2 of these today and one in the newer packaging(grey instead of white, for 37p, the white one has 15ml of product, the newer grey only has 10 ml, same price for a third less!!
Are these on 342 as well? Or am I dreaming??
(actually I think I confused myself as it's 3 almost for free with the tillspit - I think I should maybe go to bed....!!)0 -
Don't know if this has been mentioned - but today found the ideal "wombling" place for the tillspits - behind the carrier bag holders on the Self Service tills. I used one and the till asked for a supervisor (as usual) - she couldn't get it to work either, so pulled the carriers aside and dug out about 5 more!!
I watched a lady complete her transaction next to me - and she didn't reach out for her tillspits - as these come out first before the receipt. Always worth a look ladies!!DFW No. 344
Proud to be dealing with my debts!!:T0 -
Interesting shopping today!
Not from what I bought but from what happened
I was mooching round the skincare (ROC/TD/Olay) shelves when (I presume) a manager walked round the corner with a SA. He proceeded to interrogate her as to why there were very few of the (free with tillspit) products and only the more expensive stuff had the red "get this with your £5" labels on display...
She muttered something I didn't catch (with my ears out on stalks :rotfl: ) and he said loudly "but thats the whole point of it " SA blushed and he told her to price check everything and make sure all the promotion was clearly marked :T and all the stock out :T
He then walked over to the queue and jumped on a till and started serving. From what I heard/saw as I was queueing, he was saying to people if they were pennies short of getting tillspits so they could buy something else to get the spit/voucher!
Never seen him before, but hope he's there on a regular basis!
Then having a ditzy moment I managed to spend £4.60 and forgot to top my own basket up with some gum or something to get my own till spits!!
Too busy paying attention to other people, thats what my teachers used to say at school  too true!!0 -
You did answer in time, I was waiting for a response lol! but sadly I'm in Aberdeen where there is only 1 store in town, with no SS tills
So not much I can do about that one! I'm away to see what bargains I can manage anyway
the SS tills are upstairs in bon accord. take the steps down from the cold food cabinets.0 -

I think someone (sorry, can't remember who) did reply about this and even suggested you could have split your shop had you have known. But no trouble asking again, we're all happy to help on here
You only have to spend £5 and you can get them both.

Have only just started coming back to the boots thread regularly, I was about when the time delay vouchers were in the magazine and when the boots essential handwash and bodywash in lots of lovely flavours plus the "oooh bodyform" glitches were on (still finishing all off) but the current offers are great. I still don't get time to hit the shop like a true professional as I sometimes nip in at lunchtime, and usually the rush, or a colleague with me puts me off going mad with vouchers, but I have done four mitchums, one trevor sorbie, one huggies (daren't do more, the voucher is draconian) several No. 7 GWP and a few time delays from the spits and a few no. 7s (never seem to find the cheapy mascara) but have had a few of the super slimming cellulite busting lotions and I think I am getting the fever again.
I am glad to say the thread has changed for the better. I sort of went off it a bit when people stopped getting some nice stuff for themselves/their families and started taking it back to exchange and flogging stuff on ebay, whereas now, the extreme activities seem to be discouraged and the bootsers are going out of their way to point out where good bargains are to be had, and relayng their trips in detail so that other bootsers can copy (love this), bootsers sending their vouchers to each other, warning of dreaded till beeps (I'd rather go without than get one of these) and commenting on the products once they have tried them. I still love the time delay lip plumper and although t is £7.49 (£2.49 after voucher) I think it is worth it. I am a big convert to the mitchum 48 hour spray too. I would only use right guard before, but I would now pay full price for the mitchum once the glitch has run out, so I guess these things do convert you occasionally, which is obviously what they are after.
I am a bit of a nervy bootser, using one voucher at a time, so have never experienced a bad SA. I got a till beep on one of the mitchums, and said, oh it doesn't matter then, and she spent ages trying to work out half of £1.79 so she could remove 90p from the bill on an over-ride, which she was trying to do covertly as she thought her boss would shout. I still think 89p is good value for the stuff !
Anyway, I have rambled a bit, but it is good to be back. I am a north-east bootser (silverlink and eldon being my main lurking places) but work in central london a lot and have found central london boots good for bootsing (maybe all of the city types and tourists have no time for it) For those after mags, Charing Cross boots has loads, but no long hair stuff.
