Hi, I have been looking for The Chronicles of Narnia 7 book box set for a wee while as my 8 year old is into the hype surounding the film. Saw the set today in Ottakers for £45!!!
Popped along the road to Bookworld and got the same set for £6.99 making it a £1 per book. Ottakers were £6.99 per book!!
The Works have got all books in one big book (if you see what I mean ) for £5.99 so for some that may be the better buy. :T
Dont know if htere is better buys online but thought this may help someone.

The bookpeople online have some great deals on box sets. I always buy some for Christmas pressies.
The Chronicles of Narnia
C. S. Lewis
Age Range: 8 +
Each book is an exciting and magical stand-alone story but put together they form a very special library so that the adventures of Aslan and his friends can be read and enjoyed over and over again.
Our price: £6.99 rrp: £34.99 SAVE : £28.00
Posting is £3.50 or £1 for concessions ( I like these)

If you're buying these for children, I reckon the set of individual books is better value, even if the one-volume set is cheaper. It does turn into quite a bulky book and if the children like to read at bedtime, or take their books wherever they go (this might give you some clues about my reading habits!), then a large volume is not as practical or as comfortable in the hands. I know they've probably all managed Harry Potter in hardback, but if there's a choice and there's not much in it, then the individual volumes seem preferable. Also if you're buying them as a present, 7 books seem much more generous than 1!0

A good spot... these will soon be in big demand as 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe' has had the Hollywood treatment and will be in the cinema soon...0

i have given a thanks for the one with the bookpeople, went onto that site and found half my sons book collection atleast 50% cheaper than we paid. i ended up spending £22 and was just about to pay when i saw if you spend over £25 it was free post and packaging, so i got my son another christmas book for almost free as the book was £3.99 and the ppost and packaging would have been £3.95.what is the plural of moose?

Are they hardback? I have been looking for the entire set in hardback for a good while now and haven't found a harback set at a decent price.
So I borrowed from the library again..!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Ideal for young readers are the 'free' Narnia books with Nestle cereals (certainly on Shreddies both Coco and plain) 4 books to collect, according to Mrs Dingdang each one appears to be the story of each of the children in the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe.
Picked the first one up yesterday, now where did I see them on 3 for 2 so I can get the other 3..0 -
The Works now have the Chronicles of Narnia box set of 7 books for £7.99 instead of rrp of 27.99, got one for my niece, definately great value and easier to cart aroung than one huge book.Money's too tight to mention!!!0

Books with the cereals sound fun - will have to check out whether we eat any of the cereals first though - should make good stocking fillers.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
