Morning. As a Yorkshire lass myself I can say Yorkshire is slightly overcast this morning but it is likely to 'chuck it down' later as I've just put my washing out!
We went to Flamingo Land last week, stayed there till 2pm then went on to Scarborough, wish we'd just spent the whole day at Scarborough!

Good morning everyone. I'd love a Beetle or a Camper Van... sounds fab! Instead I've got a horrid Punto that's falling to pieces. Oh well, I can dream. Blue sky here in Lincs today but looks very black in the distance, probably gonna get some heavy rain later - pants.
Got a massivly busy day at work ahead of me today... off on study leave for the next two weeks (got a Masters dissertation to write!) and wrote a list as long as my arm of things I need to finish before 4pm. Help!Life is all about the journey.0 -
Morning all, I feel really rough this morning. Was supposed to go to Tropical World (Leeds) yesterday with the kids & MIL only the trains were packed (thinking about it, looks like loads going to the Festival) so MIL & eldest DD decided we would go to Wakefield shopping so off we went.
Had a nice (ish) day but what on earth are they doing to The Ridings centre - no lifts & no food court! We had to carry the pram up & down flights of stairs to get across the different levels - it was awful! The kids got some lovely new clothes anyway, got a lovely new winter coat for my youngest down from £45 to £7!
Then ended up at MIL's for takeaway tea from the chippy & my head started pounding, by the time I got home I managed to open the post & put PC on did a couple posts on here but NO comps (I must have been ill!!!) then fell asleep on the sofa after an aspirin before DH woke me up to go bed.
Now this morning I just feel so rough & I'm my own with the kids today cos DH back at workHad a coffee & a slice of toast so hoping I'll feel better in a bit.

The good thing is though that the owner of the Beetle just wanted it off his hands & couldn't be bothered to advertise, so gave it to us for £90!!:p
It needs a bit of restoring but my OH is very handy & his brother used to restore classic cars for a living - bonus!!
I LOOOOVE VW Camper Vans & Beeteles, I'm soooo jealousThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

As to the Ridings, if you think you had it bad, try negotiating it in a wheelchair! I can use the lift in M&S between 2 floors, but to get to the other one, I have to go outside, through the multi-storey car park, and use the lift down into Morrisons, then do it all in reverse to get back again

I used to work in the Ridings for many years & it definitely needs something doing with it cos compared to Meadowhall or the new Frenchgate in Doncaster it was looking a bit cack!!
I was meant to be taking family to Fountains Abbey today (lovely place) for a picnic but looking at the Yorkshire sky I shall have to re-think that one!
Have a nice day all!The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word!0 -

haha, Wokkies that's a fab photo! bet he loves it!
It's a lovely sunny day here with a few fluffy white clouds, spoilt only by the constant droning of 2 stroke engines. We live just a few hundreds yards from the main camp site for the Isle of Wight scooter rally, and August Bank holidays are a noisy affair for us. :rolleyes:That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0
