Asda have had 24 pouches on offer for £4 for the last few weeks but on Sat i noticed they'd gone back up to £6.49 (ouch).
If anyone knows if another large supermarket is doing them cheap can you let me know??

aww thanks v much.
so asda doing 3 for £6- i'll nip in tomorrow
i wouldn't normally bother asking but a £2 saving is worth getting - esp when i go through a lot and a work colleague has 5 cats so i think she's working just to keep them in food!!0 -
My advice would be to buy it in tins and not pouches!
When you compare the price per kilo on pouches vs tins of the same brand, the pouches cost more than double!
One of the biggest marketing gimmicks ever.0 -

Ah but you forget, cats are fussy creatures. You get a bigger range of flavours and they do smell better(never been brave enough to taste... although I might try the Felix As Good As It Looks:rotfl: )
My 3 much prefer pouches to tins.0 -
LOL,my cats will eat nothing but the pouches now,i bought loads once on offer, and now they will eat nothing else.Ive also tried to leave it a day to see if they ate the tin,but no.So dont waste my money now on wasted cat food, they eat every scrap,of the pouches, even though i go through up to 10 in a day,its still worth it.(2 cats)
Also(b4 i forget) Netto doing them this weekend on offer 24 whiskers in jelly for £4.25.so not bad again.0 -
10 pouches a day for 2 cats?
At the most you should be using no more than 4, one per meal per cat, two meals per day.
I think you are over feeding them.
LOl,it might seem a lot,but my vet can verify my cats are not overwieght at all, very healthy cats.
The reccommended feeding guide is actually feeding an adult cat 4 pouches a day.I have 2 adult cats so therefore feeding them 8/10 pouches per day is about right.feed them twice a day, although when they have had tins, they have had 2 tins a day(working out at 1 tin each per day).
The same amount from 4 pouches is the same as 1 tin.
Must admit though,it was better when they were on tins only,as i could buy a tray of them and it would last nearly a week, this way using the pouches does cost me more, well a lot more, but i only ever buy them on offer,so prob works out the same as for tins, cus i buy in bulk on the pouches.Think they are too set now with having the better stuff for me to go bk.I live and learn!0 -
doesn't it depend on the size of the cat how much you feed them? we have a small 4 year old cat who is not overweight (much to her disgust) but the vet says we should feed her one meal of biscuits and one of meat for teeth reasons (since we refuse to buy the expensive vet petfood). We only give her one pouch per meal but as many biscuits (sometimes Iams sometimes brekkies) as she wants.0

ok, fair enough, I was just going by what my vet recommended as a daily pouch allowance for 'normal' cats (i.e. not overweight)
