Utter desperation

More ebay desperation.Hi. You won't know me but then, why should you? I'm just another regular josephine bloggs who's life has suddenly taken a turn for the worst. I'm not expecting any sympathy at all so if I'm boring you or annoying already, then please do not hesitate to press 'back' on your browser.
For those who might be a little interested, even from a sensationalist or voyeuristic point of view, here's my story in a nutshell:
I was forced to leave my job which I loved, 3 weeks ago (they called it 'redundancy') after months of bullying and intimidation from my boss. Before you ask, I did ask for help but it fell on deaf ears - the place I worked ran an 'old boys network' with no time for investing in their people. To make matters worse, I have less than 2 weeks to move out of my flat if I don't find the rent to pay for another month. All I need is a few more weeks to find a permanent or temporary job. Believe you me I'm trying every single day, sent my CV to over 20 employment agencies, registered on the job boards, counting the pennies but still a big fat zero.
This is not someone who wants to sit at home doing nothing. I really want a job and each day get's harder to stay positive, particularly when my lettings agency comes around with potential tenants to view my home. So, anyway. maybe this is a stupid and cowardly thing to do, ask for help on ebay, but I really have no-one else to turn to and nowhere else to go. I know that many of you will probably think I've got a cheek to do this and I realise that there are people worse off than me but I am very desperate now.
Please help me stay a little longer in my home to buy me a bit more time to get work. Just the equivalent of 1 month's rent would be a start. Even better, maybe you can offer me some work? I'm happy to give further information or answer any questions that you might have.

This poor man. Is he going to learn of his infamy on MSE? On the other hand he seems to have a desire for exposure!
It's amazing we live in an age that permits mass communication of such personal detail with a few clicks of a computer mouse. And how the story grips us as it unravels.
I can see this being picked up by the press . When will Mr Knopp learn of his notoriety and when will someone come along who claims to know him?
Can't wait for the next instalment. :T0 -
It's going to be me to kick the thread back up treliac. Not so as to anything really new, just for a general think-back, and to wonder how things turned out for Bernard. This poor man. Is he going to learn of his infamy on MSE? On the other hand he seems to have a desire for exposure!
Can't wait for the next instalment. :T
Makes me kind of sad I took a virtual dig at some retired policeman pensioner, but all-in-all... with so much MEW and the risky all-in business-venture, when they should have had a comfortable retirement with a house paid off and a policeman's pension... some criticism is very deserved.
The website someone created for the sale is still up and running.

OIRO £350K
And here is one, very close by to The Redstone Cottage, (same postcode) on Rightmove at £415K.martinman3 wrote: »It is one of 25 cottages0 -
The cottage at OIRO £350k looks tired and dark, but then cottages full of 'stuff' often do when shot with the wrong camera/lense. Apart from the kitchen it's not that poky.
There's a good garden and more woodland on offer (at more money) so it could be good @ £320k if you could re-vamp and secure an extra acre or so inside a £50k budget. Big 'if' though. Chances are, there are a few issues.
The Owls is a no work option with good sized rooms and a decentish garden. Not really direct competition for a cottage. It wouldn't appeal that much to me, but it might walk off quite quickly, I'd imagine especially if they'd take a >5% reduction.0
