I use outlook, I sent an email last night but it is still trying to send. I have tried shutting down and I've tried to delete it but no joy because it says it is already begun transmitting.
Any idea how I can get rid of it please.
thanks

Is your Outlook currently set to Working Offline? I think this option is somewhere on the File Menu.
I don't use Outlook, just Thunderbird, but it won't send an email if it's in Offline mode, even if your internet connection is open.0 -
How big is the email? How long have you allowed it to try to send?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Hi
I am definitely on line, I'm receiving and sending other emails.
I think it is a large email, I hit reply to someone and thought it would have removed the attachment as replies normally drop the attachment but I don't think it has. It's been trying to send for hours and hours and even when I have sent the same attachment before it hasn't taken this long!
I just want it to go away!0 -
Open the email and click send.
Go to outbox
Double click the email
Click on send
Click send/receiveRich0 -
Yet other emails are being sent? Strange, usually it clogs up the outbox.
Have you tried switching to work offline then try deleting it? This way it shouldn't be transmitting and will let you delete it (in theory).
I presume closing and reopening outlook didn't have any effect?Rich0 -
I just tried the work off line thing and it didn't work, I got the same message.
I've actually shut my laptop down competely twice, outlook tells me there is a message in the outbox and do I really want to shut down, I say yes, I really do and it's still there when I reopen outlook.
I keep getting send and receive errors obviously because it can't send this email but it thinks that it is sending it.Yet other emails are being sent? Strange, usually it clogs up the outbox.
