  • Ordered this at daft o'clock on Sunday morning & it just arrived this morning, so here's a quickie to let you know what this does, cos I couldn't find any reviews for it on the net. ???

Model info; SKYWORTH DVD 3650 DIVX

I've tested a shedload of disks with it straight out of the box...so far it works with regions 1, 2, 3 & 4, .avi files (downloaded tv programmes), RCE disks & DVD-R movie back-ups.

Couldn't test any xvid or divx disks cos I've not burned any yet ;)

The picture quality isn't perfect but great for a 2nd player or if you want to play .avi or downloaded stuff. The quality seems better on R2 disks & copies than on other region disks.

The sound quality seems pretty good but I don't have a surround system to check properly. :-[

So, a cracking little player for £41 inc postage....all packed up again to pass on to my grown-up friend, for her 8 yr old niece's xmas pressie ;D

Hope this helps anyone who's still undecided :D

    xx

  • Are the divX/.avi cds that have simply been burned onto a cd as a file, not as a VCD/SVCD?

    Thanks
