How did you manage to get Essentials for £1.95???? Tell all :0)

That's how much it was priced for. It wasn't a stuck on one by the newsagent either? How much has everyone else paid then?

Didn't get it in a WHS in a Train Station by any chance?
There was a special price promotion for Essentials in those stores, I think it was supposed to be for 3 months. The magazines thewmselves were priced at £1.95 where as the normal price is on all other shops stock. Either that of Essentials are doing a price test in your area.

    Activity for today
Have not been out at all as I have everything I need. I have destroyed my credit cards this morning to give me a kick up the backside. Just got to sort out this little pile of paperwork later.

Gave mum £24 that I owe her (£4 for a silly thing which I didn't have any cash on me, £20 off the loan from Mum :D)

So have about £4.50 to play with until Next Sat... can it last? _pale_

Looks like I will be ebaying this evening as there will be a heavy thud on the doormat when Halifax send their statement though sometime this week  - but still its excellent to see a statement this morning from Captial One with "Min Payment due this month = £0.00" :D
  • £2 coin savings

I do that too cos they are big and fill the pot with a satisfying clunk.
Our £2 coins through the month go to a chinese takeaway in the last week.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

I try and bank mine when they get to £100, sometimes it's the only way I get to save!! Actually, must get down the bank soon cos I'm over £100! LOL!

I went to Lidl to do a big shop and DH helpfully kept putting things in the trolley.

The final bill was £77 - eek

But I have a massive trolley full of stuff including hot gel botttles at £1.99 each instead of about £5 or over. A huge bottle of antifreeze for DH plus cheese, fruit and veg, frozen chickens and sausages, 3 lots of mozzarella for pizzas, fresh basil , mangos, toiletries and toilet rolls, microfibre cloths that are reusable etc etc.

Hate to think how much that lot would have cost anywhere else.
