It's a dell PC, defo no virus etc, not overloaded with stuff but recently its taking an age?

Not a lot to go on here. But sometimes pc's get cluttered with software you dont need or temp files
Get ccleaner for a start to clean temp
Uninstall anything you never use
Defrag your hard drive
Possibly get more ram you will have to check you get the right sort0 -
Check the amount of RAM installed too. Flying Windows key + Pause Break0
