Amazon Delivery

I ordered 4 items last week from Amazon, all in the same order, now logically from a cost cutting excercise i would have thought it would have been cheaper sending it one parcell but no ...

Monday item one arrives with City Link
Tuesday item 2 arrives delivered by home delivery network
Wednesday item 3 arrives first class Royal Mail
Thrusday item 4 arrived 2nd class royal mail

They could have all easily fitted in one box, dosent make sence to me and it causes alot of annoyance in waiting around for couriers to arrive

Anyway rant over :rotfl:

  • Were they all from amazon or from different sellers on amazon?

If all from amazon, that is very strange, they normally would deliver all together in my experience...

Amazon have gone downhill regarding deliveries, they're just the same as any other online store now - I wouldn't bother with them anymore unless I really had to.

I disagree with the above posters, the last three things I have ordered from Amazon, all with free delivery, have come two days after placing the order.

Depends what you've ordered amazon have different warehouses, some items may come from the manufacturers warehouse, items of higher value will get sent differently and finally if you've not chosen the free delivery option then there's more chance of everything being sent separately

I ordered on Monday with Amazon. 5 items - 2 from Indigostarfish in Jersey.

I decided to be a tightwad and not pay for nextday guaranteed delivery. So on Tuesday the postie drops off my Tom Tom RDS-TMC cable. Then Citylink arrive with a small packet containing one DVD. Then a different Citylink van arrives with another single DVD. And finally today 2 packets from Indigostarfish for 2 DVDs each in their own packet - they were only £4-5 each so could have gone together to escape VAT and duty.
