Plaza Hotel problem and poor response

We recently stayed in a Plaza Hotel booking two rooms and paid for executive upgrade for both which should have been 2 bottles of wine, bathrobes, slippers, fancy bath stuff , bowl of fruit and a few other goodies.

We booked in and there were none of the goodies in the room and to cut a long story short it took 3 requests and 4 hours to get them and then only 1 robe was provided. This happened on the 2nd night too with the added insult of room service on seeing the remains of the previous nights tray insisting we had already had the present days tray and marching off with it saying we would have to pay again if we wanted another !
I obviously complained and wasnt happy with the response at the time but have had various responses since which will hopefully get the problems sorted but tonight i received this e mail full of spelling mistakes which i am amazed at :

Dear Mr *******

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us regarding your recent stay with us hear at the Crowne Plaza Hotel .
After reading your comments I was dissapointed to read the lack of service you received during your stay and can only offer our appologis for this. There is clearly no excuse as to why the executive package was not prepard and presented in your room upon arrival, along with the required amount of bathrobes. I have taken the liberity of passing on your comments to our Front of House Manager for immediate action as it is clearly not acceptable that your requests were not dealt with efficiently and promptly and again I can only offer our sincere appologis for this.
As way of an appology and gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you a complimentary upgrade upon your next with us, were I hope we can restore your faith in our 4 star service. To make the neccesary arrangements for this please contact ***** *******, PA to the General Manager on **************.
Again Mr ******* thank you for your feedback and again please accept our appologis for our failure to provide you with are usual high standards that we deliver at the Crowne Plaza .

    now why would you want to go back there again, get on to them and get a refund of the upgrade that you paid for.

    Crikey that letter is terrible, I can't beleive they sent it out! Surely even voice recognition software should be able to spell such simple words.

    I wouldn't complain to the PA of the Front of House Manager, I would go to the highest of the high with that!

    Ive spent so much money on them just so I can have some rumpy with this woman since her husband was always hanging around at their home.
