MS Excel 2003 help needed

I have an excel sheet with a large number of web addresses in. Is there any way I can format the cells to automatically hyperlink to the web page?

I use this free addin asap-utilities which has a web section which will do what you want.

I'm not sure how you could do it in excel other than creating the hyperlinks using cut and paste in the 'insert' menu and using the 'hyperlink'.

To make the web addresses into hyperlinks, they need to be enclosed in double quotation marks i.e. "http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/Olympus"

If you have a lot of links to edit you could probably create a macro to do it for you.

Press F1 when in Excel for more help.

You can do it with the HYPERLINK function.

E.g. if A1 contains https://www.moneysavingexpert.com

=HYPERLINK("http://"&A1,A1) converts the new cell to a hyperlink.

Use =HYPERLINK(A1,A1) if the address already has the http://. at the start.
