I'm after a piece of Ash/Maple/Mahogany/Poplar/Walnut, or alternative strong wood/composite. Approx 40-50mm thick and at least 400mm X 500mm.
Any ideas where I can source this from, or may possible be able to maninate 2 smaller pieces to make the size stated above.

get a piece of ply to size and then veneer it with your chosen wood.
cheaper/stronger and more readily available.Get some gorm.0 -
