Hello All,
I wondered if I could pick your brains for a recipe.I want to make a crumble tonight as I hjave friends coming tomorrow for bonfire nigth. I have loads of frozen berries and 3 pears, and thought they'd make a nice crumble together, but I'm not sure:
a) whether or not to stew the pears, and if so how much sugar to use
b) is 3 pears sufficient or do I need to get a few more
c) what kind of nuts will give it a lovely crunchy texture
Thank you so much, I know between you'll have the answers!

When I make apple and raspberry crumble, I never pre-cook the fruit. this might be the same for pears?New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0

I agree with the above - and as for sugar it depends on how tart any of the fruit is - sample it and guess
I've used mixed nuts, before - it works well.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
