New Dell PC can't connect to the wireless network

Hi
I'm hoping somebody can help me out here, otherwise the £700 I've just spent on a spanking new Dell PC will be wasted:eek:
I'm typing this post on my laptop which is connected wirelessly using a Netgear DG834G which has a secure password (WPA).
Just unpacked the new PC and assembled it. IT has a wireless network card built in and I've screwed the antenna into the back of the base unit. It gets an excellent 5 bar reception.
I then selected the network I want to access and typed in the password when prompted. This is where the problem is, it wont let me connect, says I dont have authority to access the network.
Any ideas please?
Thanks

wpa keys are case sensitive, it can be lowercase or a mixture.
mine is lowercase but I have solved the problem
I didn't realise that 3 years ago when first setting uo the router I had also set up wireless access points so even if you kow the password you still have to be 'invited' to my network.
Thanks everybody for their time. Also solves the mystery why when my feineds have been round they can't access my wirless without connecting directly via ethernet cable
