Recurring Payments on Credit and Debit Card

Please be aware that when you make a payment for something like insurance or break down cover using a credit/debit card you can run into very annoying problems.
For example you can buy insurance that appears to be for one year, but the next year you will automatically be charged again if you do not actively cancel.
This can be a particular problem if you change address, and you don't tell the company.
You can still be charged a recurring charge even after completely closing and paying off a credit card account!!!!!!!! Your old credit card company will continue charging your (closed) account.

your fault for not canceling your agreement.... they will probably chase you down now, and so they should.

OP if you have insurance like most people do then you check the t&c's, the policy will carry on if you dont call them and cancel so to counter this you call them when theres a month or just over to cancel and you look for another policy,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
