Car info search sites

I am looking to purchase a Ford KA and wondered if there are any free sites that would give me some info about its history or anything?
I only have the reg plate to go on at this time.

you could do an hpi check, i think the RAC offer them for £5 but its only worth doing if you are definatly going to buy it.
are you looking for info regarding the model in general or specifically this car?

try http://www.whatcar.co.uk/ and search for your model,find out the usually faults and things to look for.
also try and find a ka owners forum for better (but sometimes biased) advice.
i think a problem on the ka was the heater temperature control would break,it would either stay hot or cold, there was a simple fix for this and ford done it as a recall on all models fitted with the same switch.
