Which engine Fabia is it? The only ones I can imagine anyone having any qualms with are 1.2 htp, 1.4 8v and 1.4 16v.

Not sure, it just feels a little hollow and plasticy, The clutch feels like their is nothing there it is so light and it doesn't have much poke at all. and i can't hear the indicators which i know is a really stupid thing to say, but there you go! I'm used to driving a much bigger solid car - also it is a real struggle to get the bigger car seat in and i've put coats over the seats to stop darling d's from kicking and damaging them!!
That said, the fuel economy is impressive. Just no room for the buggys and the shopping.

It depends if the insurer is a good one or not. They should make you an offer within about 2 weeks. Remember you don't have to accept their offer, make sure you are happy with the valuation. If you give the full vehicle spec including mileage I can try to come up with a value for you.

thats really kind but as I only bought it in Nov from a main dealership, they have given me a price for a like for like replacement and warned me that they will probably offer the trade in price too and that I have to hold out for the drive away price as mine had a good warranty, low milage and a was in very good nick. But i might PM you anyway to see if you agree!!

Definately do not accept the trade value. You need to be able - to be in the position you were in before the incident, and that means you need to be able to buy an exact replacement vehicle. Which you won't be able to do with a trade in valuation.

Remember there is an ombudsman service for insurance which is binding on the insurer.

I think the warranty will not be covered, as it will probably be transferable, ask the warranty co. if you can put it on hold (with a view to a tranfer of vehicle) or refund the unused portion.
