Wanadoo problem anyone

Hi I had problems acessing the internet on dial up Wannadoo Anytime, got BT to add the gain and seemed to be better.
But have been trying for hours to access today. Only just got on, and it kicked me out after 5 mins and I have come back on again. Temporarily no doubt.

I rang Wanadoo's helpline and they just said it was to do with my modem, cos its a V90 (they,ve never said that b4) and I said well how come I got on at midnight yesterday & he then said to change the last 3 no's on the Connect to page you start with.

I asked if I didn't need to go in somewhere to do it. He said no, that will work. I feel they are overloaded, as hey - its nearly midnight & I've got in for a few minutes or more.

So I wondered if anyone else is having a problem with Wanadoo dialup?

I may never get back in to see a reply though.
Any pointers appreciated, thanks

how old is the modem? V90 was the old standerd, there is now V92. but that shouldnt matter.

The usal things they will try to get you to do are... plug the modem into the "master" socket and dont use a long cable. Is your phone line crackly usally when talking? could be a bad line, which would sometimes cut out.

Most ISP's don't actually support V92. A V90 modem is fine as V92 only adds a few extra features that most users woudn't use anyway.
