new laptop user

Just bought my first laptop ACER ASPIRE 5315 and took my first piece of advice .. upgrade 512 of ram to 2g .. running home vista basic .. any advice hints and tips that people have used and worked to get the best out of the machine .. checked internet and there appears to be a lot of tips out there but also a lot of donts

    then surely you have your answers already :) follow the do's and donts from the other sites.

    i cant see what would be special its just a laptop so just use it normally and you wont come to any bother hopefully
    The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.
